Just a thought….

A few of you were around when I launched this thought out into the group of friends for discussion, but I thought I would post it and see what everyones thoughts are. I just got back from my last week at camp and was hit with this thought again after pondering it earlier this year after a friend of mine planted this thought in my head. (Thank you for that)

My thought is this….

We all look forward to things and we all have our “I can’t wait for…” moments, but when we finally get to enjoy those moments do we enjoy them fully? Or are we already concentrated on the next moment “we can’t wait for” that we don’t fully grasp every moment for what it is worth? I think with out meaning to, we live with this attitue of ”I got time” and we don’t think about the possibilities of today being all the time we have.  We just take for granted the time we have been given and the opporunities that we experience that we don’t really see the true importance of them and we sometimes waste the time we are given because we think we have so much of it when in reality we don’t have very much time at all.

James 4:14 says  “….You are a mist that apears for a little while and than vanishes”.

We are not here for a very long time and we need to use every moment, every minute of our day for what it is worth. I sturggle with this as much as some of you do. It’s easier to let the days go by and not have a plan or any goals. So my challenge for you is to remember that every moment of your life and every opportunity counts and to join me in taking every moment serisously. It’s easy to just go with the flow, but we need to actually put some effort into our every day activities…..and make it a priority to take every moment, every friendship, every possibility and make the most out of it while we are blessed with the time given to us by God.
